Opening Reception Friday, July 15 from 6pm-9pm

Please join us for our opening reception for Gather And Transform, a current fiber arts group show featuring new work by Amabelle Aguiluz, Ben Cuevas, Pat Ahern, Ashley V. Blalock, Martha Winterhalter, Ruth Katzenstein Souza, Zac Monday, and Ellen Schinderman.

Artists will be in attendance with refreshments and music and amazing new artwork!

The show is located at 453 S. Spring Street and will run from July 14 until August 28th.

A Water Story by the LA River

Saturday, July 16 from 2pm-5pm with a reception  to follow.

Water Stories, a performance project continues a new site- specific project at the Women's Center for Creative Work.

A series of durational water solos performed by szalt dance co, featuring amplified river sounds by Louis Lopez, wearable art and textile sculpture installations by Amabelle Aguiluz followed by a reception at WCCW.  A $5-$10 Suggested Donation is recommended.

Combining the artistic efforts of 3 LA based artists Amabelle Aguiluz - textiles/fiber arts, Louis Lopez – electro-acoustic sound design, and Stephanie Zaletel – artistic direction for szalt (dance company), this dynamic trio aims to engage with the LA community through collaboration, creativity, and storytelling centered around water. Together this team aims to facilitate a deeply engaging art experience at the WCCW by the LA River.
